The Prophet And The Doctor

Once a doctor came to the Prophet and said, "I have come to the city of Madinah to cure the sick people, but the people of this city do not seem to need a doctor.

He asked the Prophet to tell the people to come to him when they become sick.

The Prophet showed much kindness to the doctor and told him that he has already taught the people of the town not to eat anything until they become very hungry and when they do eat they should leave the table still being a little hungry."

The doctor replied, "So this is why they never get sick and never need a doctor. There is no work for me in this city. It is better that I say good bye to you and leave for another city."

When it comes time for eating and drinking you should not overdo it. In the Qur'an it is written that:

Eat and drink, but do not overdo it.
