A Boy Who Does Good Deeds

One day a few boys were playing together. Where they were playing there was a well which people used for getting water.

One of the boys going by slipped and was about to fall into the well. At the same time another boy ran over and very quickly grabbed the boy so that he would not fall into the well.

The boy's mother came running. She picked up her son. She picked him up in her arms with great joy. Then, she turned to the crowd of people standing there and said, "Look how this brave boy here saved my son's life! God bless this kind boy!"

Everyone congratulated the brave boy and they all asked him, "What is your name?"

He replied, "Ali."

They asked again, "Whose son are you?"

Ali replied, "I am the son of Abu Talib."

Imam Ali was a very brave boy when he was small and he always did good deeds.
